Amateur radio is first and foremost designed to provide goodwill among the peoples of the world and we are ambassadors of our own locality every time we make a radio contact.

Our behavior and manners reflect the type of agents we are of our community and our hobby. Our creed is to be:
CONSIDERATE: Never knowingly operating in such a way as to lessen the pleasure of others.
LOYAL: Offering encouragement and support to other amateurs, other clubs, and the general public regardless of age, race, creed, or sex.
PROGRESSIVE: With knowledge abreast of science, a well built and efficient station and operation beyond reproach.
FRIENDLY: With slow and patient operation when requested, friendly advice and counsel to the beginner, kindly assistance, co-operation and consideration for the interests of others. These are the hallmarks of the amateur spirit.
BALANCED: Radio is an avocation, never interfering with duties owed to family, job, school or community.
PATRIOTIC & SERVICE TO COMMUNITY: With station and skill always ready for service to our community and country and to live and work according to the laws of man demonstrating the highest standards of professional conduct at all times.

The WORC's current mission is to return KISN radio back to the airwaves of Portland and to the world through internet streaming. To do this, we need your help. Building and operating a broadcast facility is an expensive endeavor.
